As the light at the end of the tunnel of all the work that goes into planning the Race-Mania Summit and Expo comes into view we're feeling nostalgic over so many great past memories associated with this event which returns to Boston this Sunday. Started back in 2006 at Regis College, the event has hosted so many great athletes, coaches and personalities and they've all been incredibly gracious... and fun! We've had shakeout runs with Desiree Linden and Ryan Hall... Mike Reilly share stories, launch his book tour and officiate auditions for his replacement (true... sort of!)... Mirinda "Rinny" Carfrae and Timothy O'Donnell have made 3 appearances at the event including the first time Rinny appeared when she agreed to run the morning 5k, swim in the Relay Swim Challenge and then do the indoor bike time trial -- still can't believe we asked her to do all that!... expert, friend and all-around amazing guy Jordan Metzl has spoken and led his Ironstrength workout (not easy!)... 4x olympian and USA Triathlon Hall of Famer Shelia Taormina has led swim clinics... we've had both Dave Scott and Mark Allen Coaching discuss "The Iron War"... Siri Lindley was here to motivate, inspire and share stories of her early racing days in New England... the legend and always entertaining Dave McGillivray has masterfully moderated many Q&A with our keynotes... we had multiple fundraising parties at the Normatec's HQ in Watertown (include 1 birthday celebration for Rinny)... and so much more.
